In this video I will show you how to replace the boost / waste gate vacuum control solenoid on my 2015 Ford F150 that has the 2.7 Ecoboost engine. This solenoid is sort of a parts department mystery as it is usually used as a EGR solenoid on other Ford models. I did the research and will show you how to install this relatively cheap part. Symptoms of a bad solenoid are overboost codes or no codes and weird boost fluctuations, which could be caused by other problems like the waste gate actuators themselves. Check them both with a vacuum pump first to make sure they move freely and respond to vacuum correctly. The OEM stamped part number on the original solenoid is FL3E-9E882-BA.
