This was my first time going “offroad” on my Hawk 250. I didn’t get into any real challenging trails since it was the first time, but each time I ride I get a little bit better and more confident. The Hawk 250 is a blast and an absolute bargain. Without it, I wouldn’t have even ventured into the world of dual sport motorcycles.
Perry State Forest is located in southeastern Ohio. Much of Perry State Forest was strip mined for coal prior to existing reclamation law, resulting in very rugged, sometimes barren terrain. Since the state acquired the area in 1961, some reclamation has been accomplished, including a large area along County Road 48. Several reforestation and test tree plantings have been established on the forest.
The Perry APV area is the most popular public riding area in Ohio. Miles of challenging trails are open to the public.
